Hi Becky,
Just to catch you up on my girl, Annie. She has turned 9 months, 85 pounds, healthy
and happy as a clam. Best pup "evah!" Great coloring, beautiful face. She plays
with my 10 year old for hours, they play snarls. My new male is coming by Thanksgiving,
what a pair they'll be. His breeder compliments you on Annie. She says Annie is
"gorgeous." Thank you for a great job breeding Annie!

Hi Becky,
Well, you're a god in Mike's world. This dog is the best pup I've ever had. She has
socialized wonderfully with my two old shepherds. Even my grouchy one, Gladdie,
actually allows Annie to sleep next to her. She sleeps whereever she wants to an
night, she is fully housebroken ... but she usually ends up on the floor next to
my bed. She has nudged me a few times in the middle of the night to let me know
that she has to "go out".
She is on an all raw meat diet. Ground meat variations in the morning, frozen of
course, with a mix of bones and organs, all ground up together. Frozen because
they'll gulp down a pound in five seconds, given the chance. This fall when the hunting
season opens, they'll have hundreds of pounds of elk and deer meat to feast on.
She loves rabbits ... eats them whole, half at a time frozen. She was 29 pounds
when I got her 1 month ago and today she weighed 43 pounds.
She has already picked up from my other dogs that when someone is not welcome or a
stranger, they get barked at. She is after all, a German Shepherd dog. She loves
chasing my cat who had come to an understanding with the older shepherds, but I
guess that deal is now "off". Since I work from my studio at home, I am able to
spend all day with her. I play tennis every morning and when she sees me putting on
my tennis shoes, she knows it's "park time!" I love it when she gets happy feet -
damn it's cute. She knows her name, comes when I call. Her eyesight is still
developing, but her hearing is excellent.
All in all she is the best money I've ever spent. I believe that Ethel, my lovely
dog that died 3 moths ago, has channelled into Annie. There are so many similarities
it's a bit scary. If Annie is half as beautiful as my dog Ethel was, I'll be one
happy man.
Thanx Again, Mattei

Hi Becky,
Thought I'd give you a 1-day update on Annie. You probably won't hear from me for
a bit. I've had many German Shepherd puppies over the years...Annie is right up
there with the best!
She has already become quite attached to me, so you did the "litter socialization"
perfectly. It has been snowing hard the last couple of hours and she loves it!
My two older females are just not interested in playing, so Annie and I went on
a 40 minute walk this morning "off-leash" in the woods and she did great. She
has a great appetite. I feed my dogs Royal Canine and she inhaled it ! I
mixed it with a little canned food, even though my vet doesn't like the canned food.
All in all, you are one hell of a good breeder. This doggie is wonderful! You know
how much love this animal will give to me and vice versa in the coming years and
you can be assured that Annie is in a good place.
You did good!

Dear Becky,
This is a beautiful Shepherd, Becky. I am so impressed and I've kept German Shepherd
dogs over 30 years. I've even raised a few litters.
She is safe and sound, just several inches from my computer as I type this. She met
my two older females and you can imagine that! Her tuckered-outness is catching
up with her. Her flight was an hour and a half late arriving in Denver. She told
that she is glad to be in Colorado and she wants to do some camping. She smells
wonderful!
Let me tell you a little story. Two months ago, my third female, Ethel ... the love
of my life got bloat and was dead in my arms at an ER clinic 30 minutes after I
noticed it. She was the best dog I ever had and I've had a lot of them. So, I just
wanted a female German Shepherd to keep up with me and it looks like that now I will
have to take a deep breath to keep up with her.
Her new name is Annie. She's sound asleep and breathing slowly. I will sleep on the
floor right next to her tohight. Thank you !
Mattei
