I, _________________________ Purchased a _______ (Male/Female) German Shepherd Puppy from Bouchard’s BestShepherds on ___/___/_____ (MM/DD/YYYY) Best Shepherds> Guarantees this PET companion puppy to be healthy. This puppy is from BestShepherds' Litter _____ born ___/___/_____. You should have your new puppy examined by a veterinarian within fourteen (14) days of delivery. If the examinatin shows that the puppy is diseased or has a congenital disorder, you may return the puppy to BestShepherds with the veterinarian's written statement of findings, for a replacement or refund of the purchase price within two business days of the examination. (This is known as the Massachusetts "puppy lemon law"). In order to receive a full refund, you MUST return the puppy to BestShepherds place of business. BestShepherds is NOT required, under Massachusetts State law, to pay your veterinarian expenses after purchase. BestShepherds requires a certified copy of the veterinarian's diagnoses stating the condition and findings prompting your reason for the return of the puppy. An unsatisfactory condition, for purpose of this contract, shall be defined as any congenital or hereditary condition that would severely affect the health and well being of the puppy. Any replacement may be from the same or an equivalent litter. No REFUNDS will be given after sixteen (16) days. Hip Dysplasia Guarantee: Further Bouchard’s Best Shepherds guarantees that if any genetic hip dysplasia develops before TWO (2) years from the purchase date (not date of birth) and the hip dysplasia should severely impact the health of the dog, BestShepherds at their discretion, may offer you another puppy when one becomes available. All measures have been taken to prevent hip displasia and it is known that there is never a 100% guarantee that your puppy will not become afflicted. Other known factors that contribute to hip dysplasia include poor diet, lack of exercise, abuse and injury. BestShepherds requires certified copies of Xrays and certified copies of OFA (Orthopedic Foundation of Animals) certificate stating that your (puppy) dog failed the test.
