Bouchard's BestShepherds is a family owned "mom and pop" business. It is managed by Rebecca "Becky" and MG Bouchard, together with the help of their two children.

We all love and play with all of our dogs and pups every day. In good weather, MG frequently spends his weekends in our large field 'playing ball' with our dogs. When you watch them play and interact it often seems that he has his own 'full team'!

Our family owned kennel was founded over a decade ago as a result of our love and interest in large friendly dogs and particularly in the beautiful long-haired variety of German Shepherds. We have specialized in this breed, because it is an intelligent, beautiful and healthy breed. As with all German Shepherds, our dogs' ancesters are derived from old-world 'working dogs' that were bred with strong and yet gentle personalities and enthusiastic drive. Our BestShepherds are 3/4 German and 1/4 American blend. They all spring from AKC Champion working dog lines. Our BestShepherds are carefully raised for their beautiful size and gentle temperament, together with high intelligence and good personality. All our pups are AKC registered.

OldHomestead BestShepherds kennels is located in picturesque central Massachusetts, northwest of Worcester, Massachusetts and easily accessible from the Massachusetts Turnpike, Route 2 and other major roadways. Take a look at the Map (click on "How to Find Us" button). We privately raise our dogs on 6 acres of land abutting an extensive spread of "conservation land". This provides us with the best of healthy breeding and wideopen 'growing up' conditions for our pups and dogs. It also gives our pups plenty of fresh air and exercise, helping them develop wholesome personalities and strong bodies.

Our dogs roam about large fenced-in areas in which they find endless play adventure. We often have older housebroken pups as well as new arrivals playing together and energetically exchanging barks about their daily activities.

We always encourage prospective German Shepherd owners to visit our kennel and meet the "parents" of our pups living with and tending their puppies in their home.
