When is time better for bringing a new puppy into your life. As they say "Livin' is Easy!" in the Summertime. That especially goes for a Puppy. Ever playful, the world is just full of so many things to check out and explore. Everywhere! Walks and runs in the warmth of Summer is so full of pleasure — especially when you have a frisky companion to join in with you! What now! What next! That seems to be the meaning of your Puppy's curiosity and ever-available energy. Summer brings together the best of Nature Everything is there to be explored. Even an occasional swim might be on your friend's agenda. To avoid missing out on this rare opportunity to bring more meaning into your Summertime Experience, consider adopting a Shepherd Puppy as your own life-long companion.

We are always proud of our litters. Our cared-for Adult dogs, such as Clementine and Shultz are thoughtfully bred to produce wonderful, healthy puppies with even temperaments and happy moods. We believe this is due to our Adults always being treated as one of our family, just another child with a healthy need for receiving and giving love and attention. We are careful to socialize our adult dogs and this carries over into the wonderful litters they produce.

When you select or reserve one of these pups it will be available for take-home adoption by the early part of Summer. Remember, you are picking a reliable new friend. In the past our litters have been "placed" quickly, and we expect these fine pups to also quickly find new loving families to care for.   Therefore— If you desire to adopt one of the finest AKC-Quality German Shepherds you will find anywhere, be sure to contact us "really soon" for one of these fine pups. ENJOY A LAZY SUMMER WITH A FRISKY PUPPY!
All German Shepherd pups begin their life looking like little black fur-balls. As time quickly passes their pedigreed heritage wins out and their bodies start the magical transistion from the helpless pup stage into the magnificient large breed German Shepherd dog that we all know so well and love so much. Soon the pup's coloration begins to show the various gold and black combinations so characteristic of their breed.

Meet Our Litter JB. We call the Mom Clementine — but her real AKC name is "Bouchard's Darling Clementine" and she will be three in November 09. The Dad is named "Bouchard's Sargent Shultz II" and he will also be three this Fall. Clementine is fine with other GSD's near her pups but she doesn't let them get too close. As you can see in the pictures, she lays in front of the playpen keeping a watchful eye on them. As small pups, they are kept in our whelping room for parts of the day and also in the play pen for a couple of hours twice a day. We do this to "socialize" them with our family, guests and the coming and going of other dogs.

These pictures show the pups when they were very young — only a few days old. Pups usually start opening their blue eyes around the second week. The eyes turn brown as they develop further. Pups even try to walk (crawl) around as though they just got off the bar-stool. Their fur is often black but it changes color to the customary GSD shades over the first year. The young puppies still drink milk from the mother's teats. In a week or so after these pictures they will be introduced to a warm gruel made out of canned puppy food and warm water. They will also continue to nurse for 3 or 4 more weeks.

About the Sire:     The litter JB's "Daddy" (Sire) (see pictures below) is from Champion and Titled (AKC registered) German Shepherd Lines.   "Bouchard's Sargent Shultz", or   "Shultz" as we ordinarily call him, weighs about 135 healthy pounds.   He is very energetic, powerful and playful.   A big loveable boy.   He also takes to the water.   Shultz is an absolutely wonderful playmate and companion with children.   He is bright and learns quickly.
About the Dad: About the Mom:
About Their "Upbringing":     All our pups are raised indoors in our home. They are thoroughly loved and played with by our children. They show exceptionally good temperment.  One of these pups will be a wonderful addition in any family. They learn quickly and are easy to housebreak. They are unquestionably loyal, social and friendly — and yet they will be very protective when it is appropriate.
Any one of our pups could be yours, to grow up and warm you. Our pups are socialized from the time they are born. They are fondled and loved by children and adults. All our pups receive individual attention. We feed them well, with the best products. An even temperment and gentle nature is an important goal for our pups as they grow into fine, classic German Shepherd dogs.
