A Bouchard's BestShepherds Finished Puppy

Meet Bouchard's "Lovely Layla." Layla is about 8 months old. She is AKC registered. She has had all her shots, four complete checkups, is spayed and MicroChip protected with "HomeAgain™."

Layla is fully house-broken, crate-trained and has her Level I, Level II and Level III obedience training certification. She has all official documentation for her training, AKC registration papers and she is safe-guarded with HomeAgain™ microchip registration. Layla is good natured, gentle and laid-back. She "loves" children and other animals. All-in-all, she is a great house dog.

Layla is extremely well socialized. She has stayed at hotels, been in elevators, camped out, been to many horse shows and met many people. She is so well behaved that we can literally take her anywhere. She rides in the back of our Volvo station wagon and "stays in her place" — where ever we put her bed-mat is where she stays! Yes, she knows and responds faithfully to her commands, such as: SIT, DOWN, OFF, STAY, COME, etc.

Mollie (my daughter) calls her a "big love bug". Layla is very loyal and a well adjusted girl. Nothing bothers her. She is politely outgoing, confident and trustworthy. Whomever becomes her new owner and life-partner will be very lucky to have her. Her conformation and coloring is beautiful. We will truly miss her as she has been a big part of our family while she literally lived with us during her training. Layla makes me proud not only of her training accomplishments, but also of our professional trainer and my daughter daughter who have both worked with her for many hours.

Layla is FULLY   AKC "Canine Good Citizen" Award Certified !

Layla is now ready to go out on her own to join a new family to love and please — And to be loved by them! If Layla seems right for you, contact us at Shepherds@BestShepherds.com for more information about Layla and our other fine Shepherd dogs.

LAYLA MAKES A NEW FRIEND —
Layla has made a new friend with a "deaf" puppy named Keller. They play together and Layla also has a lot to teach her new friend. While Layla is much bigger than Keller, Layla is careful that their romps and play is scaled to size so no one gets hurt.

Layla is housebroken and crate-trained. Crate-training makes life so much easier and more pleasant for Layla and her family. Layla has had Level I, Level II and Level III obedience training — and she will proudly present you with documentatin to show her accomplishments!
KELLER TRIES TO ACT JUST LIKE LAYLA —
Keller watches Layla and tries to behave just like she does! Layla is a good influence on Keller and thanks to Mollie, Keller is being trained using sign language. Keller was rescued by friends of our, because she was going to be "put-down" because she was deaf.

Layla loves Children and other animals. She is a really good "house" dog. Layla is also extremely well socialized. Layla has stayed at hotels, ridden in elevators, camped out in the woods, been to many horse shows — she is so well behaved that she can go almost anywhere.
LAYLA IS ALERT AND WATCHFUL —
Ever alert, as her German Shepherd heritage presents itself whenever there is something to be watched or protected. Here Layla seems to be intently watching Keller's handler as though she was herself the handler!

Layla can walk through a crowd, close to many people — total strangers, without showing hesitation or shyness. Even when other dogs approach, the people may shake hands and exchange pleasantries, but Layla will remain calm and show merely casual interest in the other dogs.
LAYLA IS HIGHLY SOCIALIZED —
To be a "canine good citizen" Layla has learned to calmly accept a friendly stranger. She willingly shakes-hands and remains quietly collected. Layla has been introduced to many varied situations where there are many other people, dogs and horses. She easily adapts to these settings without hesitation. A few blankets is all it takes to please her and make her a good traveller.

Layla travels well in the back of our Volvo station wagon and she stays in her "place." Her training assures that whereever we put her mat (bed), she settles down and stays.
COFFEE ANYONE ? —
Layla was keeping us company at a horse show when this picture was taken. It is 5AM and while her human gets some hot coffee on the other end of the leash, it looks as though Layla could stand a little java herself!

Layla has travelled to numerous horse show events to watch one of her human family ride and perform in shows. Layla is very fond of Sarah and has learned to snuggle up with her when more than a blanket is needed.
OH BOY, GOING SHOPPING WITH MY HUMAN —
Layla hopes that mom, or Mollie, might get her some reward while browsing around through all thouse "human things" that Mollie seems to like to look at. Ahh! It gives Layla time to socialize with oh-so-many people.

Layla gets so much attention whereever she goes. It is amazing. No one is ever afraid of her. On the other hand, she is friendly and outgoing and seems like just about everyone. Everywhere Layla goes, she is praised for her "good behaviour and good looks." As they say, "Everybody Loves Layla!"
WHAT IS THAT OVER THERE? —
Shopping at these Horse Shows can be fun. They have so many different things to sniff and learn about. But what is that over there...?

Layla looks upon shopping as an adventure. New things to see and sniff. New people to meet. Sometimes people speak to her and show her love and kindness — a quality she is expert at returning in kind! As you can see Layla is well adjusted, calm and happy. She is really a pleasure to bring just about anywhere.
BLEECHERS PROVIDE LAYLA A GREAT VIEW —
Hey look over there ... is that my Mistress Sarah on that big horse! Wow, that looks like so much fun. But I don't know, maybe I should stick to things more my size!

Layla has mastered walking up and along the bleachers. She finds sitting beside her trusted person — Mollie, is a lot of fun when she can watch all those big horses run around. Wonder if they like dog-treats too?
LOOK! OVER THERE! GOSH THIS IS FUN. —
Layla watches Mollie's sister Sarah ride that great-big horse animal. Golly that looks like so much fun and she is so good at it!

Layla will go just about anywhere, but she prefers to be close to her chosen human. Sheperds are so highly social, they are most comfortable when they are with their people. Or is it just Layla's instinct: to have her own "make-believe" herd?!
Layla, or a trained-dog like Layla makes the ideal Family Companion Dog. She can provide you or your children with endless hours of pleasure, while at the same time her watchful instincts, gentle nature and large size gives you an assured sense of dependable protection merely by her presence. As a fully trained dog, Layla (or another one of our dogs trained like her) is easy and pleasant to handle and merely have-around as another family member.
